Science

We will be finishing Chapters 17 & 18 this week.  We will be studying light with emphasis on reflection, refraction, absorption.  We will also look at how lenses and mirrors work. We will also work through a TCAP review booklet.  This will be an important tool to help your child perform their best on the TCAP in April.

Homework:              

            Monday – Complete workbook pages 153-154, # 1-10.

            Tuesday – Complete Vocabulary Puzzles.

            Wednesday – Complete workbook pages 155-156, #1-10.

            Thursday – Study for test on Chapters 17 & 18 tomorrow.

Friday – Work on Current Event due on April 18th.

 

Language Arts

We will be continuing to practice Grammar, Punctuation, and Capitalization this week.  We will also do some TCAP practice probes.  Parts of Speech booklet has been assigned.  It will be due on April 11th.  Please begin reading an AR book.  Try to have the test taken by April 18th.  Our book report will be assigned at that time, and it cannot be the same book as your AR book.

 

Homework:            

            Monday – Work on Parts of Speech Booklet.

            Tuesday – Capitalization Review page.

            Wednesday – No homework.

            Thursday – TCAP Review Page.

Friday – READ!!!!  AR book must be read.  Try to get it finished and test taken by April 18th.

English Language Arts

 We will become familiar with TCAP terms and review testing strategies. We

will continue to practice Grammar, Punctuation, and Capitalization this

week.  We will also do some TCAP practice probes.

 

 

 

Social Studies

 

We will analyze the structure, benefits and effects from the triangular

trade system. We  will also revisit China and Japan in Early Modern Times.
