Magazine Drive continues….please turn those in!!

 

I apologize for my grades not being updated…I have not had a chance to update my gradebook to the 3rd quarter, but will in the next day or two.

Enriched math- finish Chapter 9…Two Step Equations and Functions and graphing Funcions (we will use graph paper for this)….if you have any that you can send in for the class to use…that would be great

Chapter 9 test will be early next week

 

Math- Chapter 10 test Tuesday (lessons 1,2,4,5,6,7)

Wednesday we will begin Chapter 11…lessons 1-3 (probability, outcomes, and predictions)

 

Enriched Language Arts- Wordly wise lesson 7 (quiz Friday) and “Storm” on p. 427-432 (test Friday)

We will finish the essay writing the students began with Mrs.Lester and we will work on/ cover subject/ verb agreement

Science

 

We will finish  Chapter 8 & 9 on Solar System and Planets.  We will present our research on planets and draw the lunar phases.  We will have our test this week on Thursday.  Science Fair Projects should be well underway.  Research papers are due 2-5-08.  The display board and oral presentation is due February 13th.

            Monday – Complete vocabulary worksheet.

            Tuesday – Complete chapter review worksheet. 

            Wednesday – Study for test tomorrow.

            Thursday –None. 

            Friday – Work on Science Fair project.

 

Language Arts

 

We will review and test on adjectives and adverbs this week. We will begin a new vocabulary unit and use ThinkLink results to learn test-taking strategies.. We will also practice writing analogies.  Students should be reading an AR book.  I would like an AR test taken by February 1st.

 

Homework:            

            Monday – Adjectives and Adverbs worksheet.

            Tuesday – Adjectives and Adverbs worksheet. Review for test on Adjectives and Adverbs tomorrow.

            Wednesday – None.

            Thursday – Complete analogies worksheet.            

Friday – Read AR book.
